		<description>When I wrote to you, I'd completely blanked out on the fact that there are already &lt;em&gt;scads&lt;/em&gt; of free audiobooks available.  The nice folks at &lt;a href="http://www.resourceshelf.com/" rel="nofollow"&gt;ResourceShelf&lt;/a&gt; posted last October on "&lt;a href="http://www.resourceshelf.com/2007/10/11/resources-of-the-week-audio-books-for-free/" rel="nofollow"&gt;Audio Books for Free&lt;/a&gt;" -- with over a dozen sources for free, online audiobooks.  I do not know which of these are free not only as in "free beer" but also as in "free speech", but doubtless &lt;em&gt;some&lt;/em&gt; of them must push platform-independent formats.</description>
