I thought I’d start with some of the basics here. I’ve had several people ask me where to start their open-source research, so here’s a quick list of (freely-available) essential open-source reading (according to me):

• Producing Open Source Software

Then there are a couple of public bibliographies out there:

• Open Source Software and Libraries Bibliography
