If anyone is involved with configuring a Koha “Classic” installation with their students this semester, I would like to hear from you. I have begun to develop some documentation on how to do certain tasks (e.g., Add a MARC record, Add a patron record, etc.) that I would share. I would also like to get help on some other tasks that are not well documented.

It’s been just a little over two months since LibLime launched the Koha with Class initiative. Since then, dozens of colleges and universities have signed up for free hosted Koha installations for their library information system classrooms.
LibLime started the Koha with Class initiative because we believe that the important work of the future librarian begins with play. Future librarians must have the freedom to play with library technology, to see it from the inside, and yes, even the freedom to make it better.
Just as Koha with Class installations provide a technology playground–(a chance to peek under the ILS hood)– this blog is a playground for ideas. It’s a place for Koha with Class participants (students and professors) to share observations, solutions, questions and suggestions about libraries, technology, open source, and Koha.
Koha sets your class apart, and now’s your chance to express yourself.
